In 2017, we had the thought of raising butterflies. In 2018, we started, and it was a big success! We finally decided on breeding butterflies after being inspired by Shady Oak Butterfly Farm and ButterflyWorkx Butterfly Farm. It was the start of the pandemic, so it was pretty hard for us. 2022 and 2023 were our most successful years with breeding butterflies. Currently, we have 1 indoor breeding house and 1 10' x 20' x 7' walk-in greenhouse outside. Because of the indoor house, we were able to start breeding in March this year instead of May. In late May 2024, we installed a 2nd greenhouse, only meant for egg-laying and mating. Currently the farm is not open for visitors, and we are most likely going to keep it that way.
