Passionflower plants are a great addon to your garden, especially if you live in the South. These long and beautiful vines are a host to Zebra Longwings, Julia Butterflies, Variegated Fritillary butterflies, and Gulf Fritillary butterflies.


Maypop grows in USDA Zones 5-9, and can grow up to 20 feet if not trimmed back. If you live in Zones 7-10, watch out for Gulf Fritillary and Zebra Longwing caterpillars eating all your passionvine in a matter of days. Maypop can also withstand tempuratures of -4 Fahrenhiet. Growing Maypop is easy; you should plant it in well-drained soil with partial to full sun, you should have a big Maypop plant.
