Borage plants are a great addon to your dinner, as they are edible. They are also good host plants for Painted Lady caterpillars.
 
Borage grows  as an annual in USDA Zones 3-10. It can survive mildly cold weather but will die after a hard frost. Borage likes to grow in well-drained, moisture-retentive soil with lots of nutrients. It also requires full sun or part shade.
